Founded in 1977, Pacific Towing is PNG’s – and indeed Melanesia’s – marine services market leader. We have a well-maintained fleet of 21 vessels and employ a committed and experienced team of 200+ staff. Headquartered at our dedicated tug base in Port Moresby we also have operations at four other ports in PNG, as well as Fiji and Solomon Islands.
Although towage is our core service, we provide a diverse range of additional services across multiple industries, with specific niche services for oil and gas clients. Pacific Towing is a full member of the International Salvage Union and the International Spill Control Organization. We are proud to be a division of the Steamships Group of Companies, an iconic PNG entity driving the development of the communities in which it operates.
